Jamming of the water supply section DN1000 on the Filters Station in Warsaw. Change of the technology into the foam concrete.

Client : MWSC Warsaw
Start: September 2012
Finish: October 2012

The works covered jamming of the section of DN 1000 pipeline from the city pumping node, on the section from P5, P6 P7 bafflings to T28 baffling in the Filters Station at 81 Koszykowa str. In Warsaw.

Foam concrete PB600 with the 600 kk/m3 density was prepared from the cement mixture delivered on the site by concrete mixing trucks and foaming agents directly on the site by a special generator. Foam concrete complies with the PN-EN 206-1 standard “Concrete part I: requirements, properties, production and conformity”

The mixture was made from receptive concrete  CEM II B-V 32,5R class with a fine (0-2 mm) grain sand as an aggregate and professional foaming agent. It should be pointed that, it is an ecological agent, environmental friendly.

Thank to the change of the technology the time of the execution was shortened from 3 months to 3 weeks.

This project was a background for the research conducted by Warsawa Polytechnic and for Tadeusz Zając master thesis paper: “Foam concrete as a modern construction material in engineering construction. Jamming of the DN1000 water pipe on the Filtry Station in Warsaw. The research results and the thesis were ranked very good by the academic staff.
